Quixta mark

Giving a global design group's newest division its first website

YOO Architecture launched in 2025 as the newest division inside the YOO Group with only a handful of completed projects and nothing online but a stub landing page. Quixta designed and built its first-ever website from zero: a video-first, five-page WordPress site, taken through a three-stakeholder review process to a live global launch.

The Challenge

What was broken

[01]

A division with nothing online

Only a stub landing page tied to yoo.com, despite the wider YOO Group's global reputation and reach.

[02]

Instant credibility on a thin portfolio

"Only a handful" of completed projects had to read as global-scale and exciting, not sparse or empty.

[03]

A visual-first, video-led brief

Full-screen video hero, minimal copy, "agile and alive," "pattern-breaking" — direct from the client's own discovery-call language.

[04]

A CMS the internal team could run themselves

WordPress was chosen specifically so non-technical marketing staff could manage updates without a developer.

Goals and Approach.

[01]

Launch a real presence, from zero

A first, on-brand website live before any organic search visibility existed for the division.

[02]

Full-screen, video-first homepage

No static banner — motion had to greet every visitor immediately, per the client's own brief.

[03]

Homepage directions, refined to one

Design concepts presented and iterated until one clear direction anchored every other page.

[04]

A portfolio that reads as global

Accurate project city/country data and consistent hover-to-play video across a small, carefully staged set of projects.

[05]

WordPress self-sufficiency

Content updates, team bios and project listings the internal team could maintain without a developer ticket..

Onboarding Call

Onboarding Call

Discovery call held 11 September 2025 with Eesha Chordia, walking through YOO's structure — interior design, property development, and the brand-new Architecture division — and confirming a WordPress build in line with the wider YOO ecosystem. The proposal was signed 27 October 2025, and a formal onboarding call ran 5 November 2025, with Anand pre-filling the onboarding questionnaire from prior conversations before Eesha finalised it. Agreed scope: 5 pages (Home, About, Team, Projects, Contact) against a 3-week post-content timeline — the actual build ran far longer, with internal sign-off proving to be the real bottleneck.

Notable Technical Challenges and Solutions

SEO continuity on launch

Every existing URL mapped and 301-redirected before go-live. Domain authority preserved — rankings improved within weeks of launch rather than the months a reset would have required.

Healthcare schema markup

LocalBusiness, MedicalBusiness, and Review schema implemented across all pages. Direct result: 933 additional clicks from Google Review Snippets — a rich result format competitors without structured data can't access.

Mobile performance at 90+

All images in WebP, lazy loading enabled, WP Rocket caching, and Cloudways server-level caching stacked. GTMetrix and PageSpeed audits run before launch. 90+ scores achieved across all tested pages.

Booking widget integration

The Hearlink booking widget integrated with matching visual styling — no off-brand redirect, no friction break between the site and the booking flow.

Integrations Configured

Google Analytics 4

Traffic, user behaviour, and conversion event tracking

Google Search Console

Search performance monitoring, index coverage, Core Web Vitals

Microsoft Clarity

Session recordings and heatmaps for ongoing UX analysis

Hearlink Booking Widget

Embedded appointment booking system, styled to match the site

GDPR Cookie Consent

ICO-compliant cookie banner and consent management

Live Chat

Patient enquiry chat widget for pre-booking questions

Why We Built this in Webflow

Technology logo
Feature image 1

[01]

Budget & Timeline fit

A 40-page custom build at $4,600 in 8 weeks. WordPress's battle-tested ecosystem let us move fast without sacrificing quality. A comparable Next.js build would have added 4–6 weeks and significant cost — not the right trade-off for every client.

Feature image 2

[02]

CMS the client can actually use

Ibrahim and Ajmal update clinic hours, staff bios, and blog posts without touching code or raising a ticket. WordPress's admin panel works from day one — no training, no dependency on Quixta for routine content changes.

[03]

Healthcare plugin ecosystem

Schema markup, GDPR cookie consent, live chat, Google Maps, and Hearlink booking widget — all covered by mature, maintained WordPress solutions. Building this in a headless stack would have been cost-prohibitive.

[04]

Full HTML control for SEO

No page builder. No theme. Custom PHP templates for every page type — complete control over heading structure, schema injection, canonical tags, and Core Web Vitals. The 42% position improvement was built into the markup from day one.

[05]

Scalable hosting on Cloudways

Deployed on Cloudways (DigitalOcean), not shared hosting. Server-side caching, WP Rocket, WebP images. Fast, scalable, and the client controls their own hosting account — no lock-in to any proprietary infrastructure.

[06]

Full ownership on delivery

On go-live: full source code, admin credentials, all design files, CMS walkthrough. No retainer required to keep the site running. No per-seat licensing. No platform fee that scales with traffic. The site belongs to them — not to any vendor.

What makes a new-division launch different

Portfolio-thin doesn't mean credibility-thin

A handful-sized project count needs to read as intentional, global-scale work, not an empty gallery.

Brand-family consistency without brand-family confusion

New divisions inside an established group need an identity distinct enough to stand alone, and consistent enough to still read as family.

Multi-stakeholder sign-off is the real timeline risk

Design and dev work is rarely the bottleneck on projects like this — getting a Managing Partner, a creative lead, and a marketing contact aligned is.

Not every way of building is alike.

Basic tools / MVPs

Every design decision in this project was grounded in UX research, audience analysis, and competitor benchmarking. We don't open Figma until we understand who the patient is.

Mid-level platforms

Technical SEO — schema, 301 redirects, URL architecture, on-page optimisation — built into development, not added after. The site ranked within weeks because it was built to rank.

Advanced / Enterprise systems

The location page template means Direct Ear Care can open a clinic in Leeds and add a ranking-ready page themselves. The digital infrastructure scales with the business.

The Team behind this project.

Anand Ashok

Director, client relationship & strategy

Led the discovery call, proposal and every stakeholder conversation with Eesha, Jag and Stephen through to launch.

Rajesh C

Design lead

homepage design concepts, full hi-fi page design and the majority of feedback-round revisions.

Adarsh Kumar

Other Quixta  projects

A few things people usually ask before reaching out.

The Architecture division launched in 2025 with only a handful of completed projects and no dedicated online presence — just a landing page connected to the main yoo.com site. It needed a real, credible website that read as global-scale despite the small project count.
